This week, we are exploring and discussing fireworks and Diwali. We’ve had lots of fun investing colours!!
This week in pre school, we have some spooky activities. Our role play is a Hogwarts potion class, we have pumpkin play and spiders in their web! 🎃🦇🕷🕸.
This week is all about space!! We have a space station in our role play area, moon sand and galaxy play dough. The children will be exploring our Milky Way!!
This week we are sending out decorated rocks, we would love you to hide these rocks out and about. And if you spot any post to our Facebook and Instagram,. using the #romanriverrocks, with a picture of the number so we know whose have been found.
For the next couple of weeks, our theme is under the sea! We are looking at different sea creatures, floating and sinking experiments and exploring different textures.
This week in preschool, it’s ‘All About Me’. We are settling into our new routines and making new friends.
Our new maths investigation station in the garden – all set up and ready for the children to enjoy this term!
The Committe will be holding a Garden Maintenance day on Saturday, July 20th from 10am, where the outdoor equipment will be given a lick of paint and some general garden maintenance carried out. All support on the day would be greatly appreciated so rope in the grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends (you don’t need to be green fingered). We are also looking for donations of any wood stain (natural wood coloured please as we would like to keep the natural look of our woodlands), paint brushes and any other equipment that will help us enhance our amazing woodlands.
We will of course make sure that everyone is well looked after and are proposing to provide bacon sarnies for lunch. So please let Jo or Carley, committee chair, know if you are able to help on the day.
For the next 2 weeks, we will be having fun with school preparations, fun ‘classes’ such as potion making, and school role play.
