We will be visiting Wellies-On Care Farm on Thursday, May 2 for a farm tour from 10am to 12. Our tour will include:
We will be meeting at the farm at 9.45am. Please make sure that you and your child are dressed appropriately in old clothes appropriate to the weather. It is important to wear sturdy shoes/boots or wellies during the visit.
There is a register available at pre school so please ensure that you register your attendance in advance, and don’t forget to bring a packed lunch for your child and yourself for our picnic afterwards.
We would like to invite you to spend some time with your child at pre school on Thursday, April 4th from 9am to 11am. We will be offering some Easter craft for you to get involved in with your child, have a play with your child and join in our activities. There will also be an Easter egg hunt in the woodlands.
This week we are learning all about the dentist. We will be talking about healthy eating, teeth brushing and about visits to the dentist. Don’t forget labelled toothbrushes!
We are really pleased to share with you the latest addition to our woodlands area – the NATURE HUT! We have had a lovely hut built over the half term holiday and added some resources to allow the children to have even more outdoor fun and learn about their environment. Come and have a look at it when you are next at pre school!
It’s World Book Day on Thursday, March 7. We would love to see the children dressed up as their favourite book character and/or share their favourite book with us!
This week, we are reading the story ‘Jack and the beanstalk.’ We have lots of fun activities planned, including planting ‘magic beans’, finding the giant’s treasure and counting the leaves in the beanstalk.
This week we are celebrating Chinese New Year! We have a Chinese restaurant in our role play area, are drawing Chinese numbers in red sand as well as making Chinese lanterns, and we have some tasty Chinese food for our snack!
This week, we are reading Goldilocks and the three bears! We have some exciting activities, including size sorting, 3 bears role play and porridge tasting.
This week we are looking at the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. We have ginger play dough, we are retelling the story with story stones, and we will be making gingerbread men! What an exciting week! We would love to know if the children are retelling the story at home!
