…we have been working on number recognition including it in play with puzzles and small world
figures as well as in our free flow snack. Our 3 and 4 year old’s have 
enjoyed their time out in the classroom playing snap, sound lotto and picking out their reading books to take home.
We will be holding our committee AGM on May 23rd at Fingringhoe Villag Hall at 8.00PM. This is your chance to find out what the committee is all about, along with how you can get involved in shaping the pre school’s future!
This week we have been very busy. The children have been enjoying imaginative sensory play with shredded paper, dinosaurs and coloured spaghetti, to making family and loved ones butterfly cakes as well as imaginative ones in our woodland’s mud kitchen.
Don’t forget our lunch & play at Jungle Adventure on May 4th! Not only a chance for the children to get together with their little friends but also for parents/carers to have a chat over a coffee with staff, committee and of course each other.
Registration form and menu are now available at pre-school, please remember to complete the form by no later than Friday, April 28th.
Today, we have been making flags from around the world, we will be continuing with activities based on different countries and holidays following on from a child’s interest. Please bring anything in your child would like to share about their holidays
It’s our Christmas Party tomorrow from 12.15pm to 2.30pm. A party lunch will be provided, followed by the party and finishing with a visit from Santa. Could parents/carers please bring some cakes/biscuits for the children to enjoy during snack time? And remember, all children must be accompanied during the party. We are looking forward to some party fun with you!
We are pleased to let you know that we are in the process of purchasing a set of puddlesuits so that the children can carry on enjoying our woodlands in the wetter days without coming home covered in mud.
The committee are inviting all our pre-school children to attend our annual Christmas party after the morning session. There will be a party lunch provided, then Island Inflatables will be running the party with disco, games and character appearance for approx. 1.5 hours, followed by a visit from Santa (who might even be bringing presents if the children have been good).
As this is a committee run event, all children need to be accompanied. Please let Michelle know if your child will be attending so we know how many to cater for.
We will be having our Christmas nativity play on Friday the 16th of December. Please drop children off at the pre-school at 11am so that we can get them into their costumes. We will then ask you to wait outside before the nativity starts at 11.30am.
As in previous years, the committee will be offering a hot lunch after the nativity and we will be holding our Christmas fete. There will be Christmas crafts, pocket money toy stalls and others, and we will be holding our ever popular raffle at the fete too!
